We have 20 million new photos of the royal family and the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, and there are plenty more yet to come (the royal family on the balcony!). I’m at a loss for how to organize this stuff, so this post is just a compilation of photos I enjoy, mostly of the Queen and Prince Harry, and some of Camilla (Duchess of Cornwall) and Prince Charles. I already covered some of the new Duchess Kate photos here.
Queen Elizabeth had to go “solo” for yesterday’s Jubilee concert and today’s church visit because Prince Philip had to go into the hospital. He has a bladder infection and apparently, it’s pretty rough stuff – especially for a man of 91 years (his birthday is Sunday). Allegedly, Philip is “desperately upset” that he has missed his wife’s celebrations, but he is recovering nicely. And I kind of like how it wasn’t even a question as to whether or not the Queen would cancel her celebration – of course she would NOT. So the Queen was forced to spend more time with her son, the Prince of Wales, and his wife, Camilla. Camilla even sat next to the Queen during the carriage ride from the church to the Palace. Poor Queen Elizabeth.
I’m also including lots of photos of Harry, just because he’s super-cute and GINGER THUNDER and all of that.
PS… Do you think Camilla’s hat is big enough?

i think right here kate is such a beauty. she really stands out among all those royals. can it really be true that royals are ugly by blood. they’re really not handsome at all none of them not even harry right here.

The Queen and her late sister were quite lovely when they were young.
Kate isn’t all that, she’s pretty yeah but when she was younger the Queen and her sister Princess Margaret were actually beautiful, they could have been movie stars in the golden age of hollywood if they weren’t Royals…
Even now the Queens grandchildren by Princess Anne Zara and Peter Phillips are attractive and Princess’s Beatrice and Euginie are improving, Harry is hot too.

That pic of her in white, holding the program, is the happiest I’ve seen her, with an actual genuine smile.
Harry is so darn HOT. He’s got the looks of the two Princes. William looks like he treats Kate like a third wheel, he seemed to be ignoring her all the time during the weekend.
The Queen looks amazing and regal. Camilla is a sly one, eh. Kate just looks like Kate, common, overdone makeup and orange skin.

The Queen looked smashing in all her events. Nobody can outdo her. They can try.
I hope everything is well with the Duke of Edinburgh. It’s unfortunate he couldn’t be there for the celebrations, but hopefully his health will not decline any further. Bladder infection can be quite serious for someone his age, so I hope he makes a complete recovery.

William is so fugly now, my goodness. He peaked when he was around 17-23 years old. Now he’s just all Windsor with those teeth and the blandness. Blech.
Kate actually looks quite pretty in this set of photos. They’re mostly taken from afar so she looks a bit fresh-faced and ‘soft’…but I’ll take what I can get. Her hat is awesome.
I have to wash my hands now for typing something nice about Kate. 😀
A bladder infection is what started my dad’s decline. We had to call 911 last Thanksgiving, and although he “recovered”, he was dead in 6 months, almost to the day.
I don’t want to say that will happen to Philip, but just an example of how dangerous one can be in an older person with heart issues.

My grandfather developed a UTI from a urinary catheter, and since then he was never able to recover from the infection. Every time he was rushed to the hospital and a catheter was put in, he developed one. It was hard to treat it because it became a secondary illness on top of the ones he already had.
I’ve worked in the geriatric ward before, and many cases involving patients’ decline come from infections and falls. They break their hip, infection and swelling set in, and some of them never recover.
Prince Philip at his age is more susceptible to such illnesses. But I hope he makes a full recovery. The Queen looked great yesterday, but there was that look of sadness on her face during the concert that I assumed was because of Prince Philip.
I fear what would happen with the Queen should the worst come of the DoE’s condition. I think she’s a very strong woman, but they’ve been together for so long and they’re functioned as a team for several decades now that they’re practically one being at this point.
I read before that she’s been in love with him since she was 13, so Prince Philip’s absence by her side must be a very big deal for her.
Right, I’m over Kate and Wills, can we have WAY more Harry please?

Am I the only one who is completely royal-ed out? Aside from Harry, they are all so BLAND.
The constant bombardment of royal coverage since the wedding – the wedding itself, trying to make Pippa happen, scrutiny of every one of Kate’s boring outfits on her and Wills’ boring outings – I just don’t understand the fascination??
But here’s the good news. It looks like Pippa isn’t happenening.

The more and more I see Kate, the more I realize how PLAIN she really is. I know everyone wants a new Diana, but this girl isn’t it. I don’t find her remotely interesting.

I wonder how long the Queen has had that one handbag? It looks like it’s from the 60’s or 70’s. I adore the Queen’s hats. I don’t think I’ve see an ugly one yet. Her hats and brooches … I adore them.
She looks beautiful! Perfect color on her. Her skin and chestnut hair are beautiful with the soft pink of the dress! William looks handsome. I love him in suits! I just want to rip them off of him!

Why the Camilla hate? Anybody who can get past all the Diana (great woman but no Angel herself) stuff would see that Camilla is a fun and loving woman and very down to earth, Charles loves her and the rest of the family get along with her.
The Queen looks fantastic and I hope Prince Philip gets better soon! He’s a real national treasure.
P.S I’m disappointed Princess Michael of Kent wasn’t around to give us her Dynasty kind of Glamour 🙁 guess she isn’t in the mood since her (rumoured) lover was asasinated in Russia.
I like Prince Charles, and it looks like Camillia knows how to “handle” him.

I read that Prince Andrew’s nickname is “Piers the Plowman”…….it’s alleged he forges a small furrow wherever he walks.
A nice collection of photos commemorating the event. Of course, the stars are the Royal family itself which is a bit of a fascinating and sometimes, the heart of controversial issues. Anyway, it’s a celebration and they all look so happy.
